New Updates!

We added a trade feedback system to help building the trade community! To access the trade system, go to www.rewards1.com/trade.php or on the top right user menu drop down ->click Trade.
Users can initiate trade requests to other users, and will be able to leave feedback once recipients accept the requests.

You can review trade history of any users, go to their profile page -> click view on the right of “Trade Rating”

We also updated the forum display, and added the trade rating, user rank, and profile avatar.
Enjoy!!

Nice work!

Very nice! Will make trading much more simpler and hopefully reduce scams and such things.

This is such a great idea! This feature will minimize scams and fraud on this site. Good job R1 staff!

hopefully

Awesome work!
It’s also very useful that you’ve added offline/online icon on the user.

Good work

@lonelymonkey chickenbone pwned you with a 4/5 star rating. [:

Great addition to Rewards1! should balance out the one sided drama in the community.

Quick question, what happens if I want to leave someone negative trade feedback? It’s not going to show up on their list unless they accept it. And why would they accept it? So its pretty useless.

Well what should happen is they want as many good feedback as possible so they send you a feedback thing, you rate it and put your comment. Of course you can put in negative feedback. What makes people ask for feedback is if you have 1 trade feedback in your history which isn’t great then people won’t trade with you. Similar to when you buy from eBay/etc you get a percentage of people who found their trade Positive, Neutral and negative or whatever it may be. If there’s 1,000 back reviews and 1,000,000 good reviews then there’s a high chance they’re trustworthy.

Who would you trade with someone with 1 good feedback, or someone with 100 good feedback and 10 bad feedback.

What would be good if both users could rate their experiences. That way you don’t have to send 2 feedback forms. (1 for each user).

Make them accept it or no trade…

exploits!

Okay a quick question for those of us who are doing PayPal exchanges. Why is it when you fill out the form it ask for a minimum of 10 points, and can you bypass trading points all together? When you request a trade you automatically earn 10 points no matter what (Recipient billed). If you are the recipient of the trade form you are accepting to pay the 10 points fee (Applicant earns).

Hi TourneDisque,

The older trade version is simply a feedback form to fill in with anything you want. Users don’t have to trade with R1 points, so trades such as 10$ UGC for 8$ paypal was possible.

However, after we launched it we discovered that it could potentially contain a lot of fake/meaningless trades which makes the trade rating less meaningful. That’s why we decided to restrict the trade to R1 points (at least one side is paying R1 point).

This change does make the trade less flexible, but it provides a better integrity of the trade rating and more security to our users since R1 points transfer takes place in a trade, we are able to identify fake trades etc.

The minimum of 10 points meaning that the person who’s offering R1 points will at least offer 10 R1 points.

Let me know if you have any questions!

The updates are great! you guys should still implement the colors to differentiate users and different member ranks “regular users” for everyone except R1 staff is not really helpful to learn how to treat with other users.

On the trades can we see any other confirmation other then just “accepted” status? I would like to see an actual history notice on -point +points.

+1

The trade system is still exploitable with a lot of fake/meaningless trades. All the transferred points have to be done manually, therefor no connection to the 10 points minimum.

That’s correct, but since we keep track of points transfer history, we will be able to see if the trade history matches up against the points transfer if an investigation is needed.
