Default Referral tatic

This referral tactic isn't huge but it's big enough to get its own post. This is what happened. Today I went to a big craft store called Mikeals (something like that) and I went into the section with t-shirt markers. They had this long strip of paper where you could test out a marker to see its color and so on. You know the rest, I put my ref link on that paper and circled it and underlined it. Next thing you know, I kinda glance back into the section for curiosity and I see this girl looking at the paper. The point is, you can write down your ref link in good places if you just look. Here are some examples: Bass pro shops had a "recommend new product list" where people wrote gibberish, I wrote my ref link, in a stall, graffiti, wooden tables, any where you can find something that's ok to write on.

Take a post it note and write your link on it (suggest about 50). Go into the library and find popular books that teens would read (Comics are the best or Best Sellers atm). Put them on the first page (where chapter 1 starts).

True, with girls I find that free ipods and music is the best niche on them.

Most people of the course of a decade have learned how to weed out Spam Mail almost automatically. Anything with Free, Your Money, or Nigeria in the subject line automatically sets off an alert. If it isn't from someone they know (or a site) or an e-mail they are expecting chances are it won't get read.

Anyway I have found that offline tactics work very well.
