GUIDE TO GAIN WEIGHT
To start off
The bed is your best friend... need at least 8 hours of sleep a night

Peanut butter and jellies are the poor mans steriods... upon eating breakfast lunch and dinner you should be eating 4 or 5 pb&j's a day...

Try consuming around 3000+ calories a day...

If you are an athlete... start heading to the gym... work on basic lifts
(Squat, bench press, deadlift, power clean, etc.)
After getting on a basic routine.. Start incorporating new lifts into your workout...
Gaining mass- heavier weight and less reps
Getting lean- less weight many reps

Try not to work in as much cardio when at the gym...

I would suggest investing in a multivitamin for athletes or body builders...
Also, a few types of protein, which is a must,
Either cytogainer, muscle milk, or mass complex (google them) most important though is that it is whey protein

Should be taking in around 2-3 grams of protein per pound of weight.. so i weigh 205lbs. 205x3= 615grams of protein.. which is ALOT... i would guess you dont weigh that much.. and suggest starting with 2 grams of protein..

If you are going to start working out then i would also suggest
Creatine, fish oil and BCAA's

These will all help alot...
As for the creatine.. just take regular do not cycle on and off and do not do the loading faze

Most important thing is SLEEP and EAT
ALOT OF BOTH

This took forever to write... hope it helps!

Count your calories... Then eat at least 500 more calories a day than you used to. Eat about 5-6 meals a day instead of 3.
Get all the sleep you can in a day. AT LEAST 8 hours.
Eat a lot of protein and carbs. Now, I'm assuming you're gonna work out at the gym... If not, all your weight is going to be fat and that's not good. Protein before and after a work out is good for your muscles. It heals the muscles you just used.
Stay away from fatty foods. I know you're trying to gain weight, but the fat is unhealthy.. Low fat, high protein foods are what you want to eat. That's chicken, tuna, turkey, seafood..
Drink muscle milk!
Use heavy weights (you should be able to do no more than 10 reps before your muscles fatigue). If you can do more than 10 reps, you're not using enough weight.

What I bolded there is COMPLETELY WRONG. You do not intake 600 grams of protein if your 200 lbs. THAT IS WAYYY TOO MUCH. If you were drinking protein shakes all day, and just lifting, you'd be a fat ass. I drink Optimum Nutrition, and each cup has about 23g of fat in it. There is no reason someone needs to have 600 grams of protein in a day. The normal person should be intaking .8 grams of protein per kilogram of lean bodyweight.

HAHA oooppsss now that i think about it that is wayy to much protein... i think i meant .5-1 gram of protein per lbs of body weight...

Also not all proteins have that much fat...
Keep in mind they want to gain weight also... he said he is too skinny... therefore if he drinks protein shakes all day and works out until he gains the weight he wants then its all good
