Default How to make a acoustic guitar sound like an electric?
Can I somehow make an electric sound with my acoustic guitar? I have this metal piece that came with the guitar and its L shaped and I don't know where it goes. Is there anything I can use or put into my guitar somewhere to make an electric sound? I really want to play some badass songs.

i dont think so
i have a friend who has been playing the guitar for a long time, and hes a total pro at it, but he is going to buy an electric one to play his rock songs.

Well I was thinking of putting some piece of metal or copper over the hole so that whenever I play the strings the metal will pick up the sound and cause an electric kind of noise to play. Copper may work too.

If you can plug yours into an amp then get the Line 6 Toneport UX2. It has tons of electric presets or you can always go buy an cheap first act guitar :O

Many amps now have processors that will "process" the sound differently. Also, if you are recording there are any number of outboard effects processors to give an acoustic more of an edgy sound.

However, if you want to play your acoustic solo and have it sound like an electric ... no.
