Rules and tips on posting guides
I know this is not a guide, but some basic rules need to be enforced.

The newest subsection in the forum, guides, isn't only limited to ref guides. Anything that shows you how to do something is considered a guide. (ex:getting free trojan condoms or getting a lower waistline)Below are some guidelines you show follow:

Do's and don'ts to guide making:
*Post simple guides that are helpful
*make guides on building stuff(slingshot cannon,flash games,etc)
*Post guides about Money making(perferabally not exploitation)
*Make guides on real life stuff(getting a job, etc.)
*post teaching guides(learn C++, learn to play guitar etc.)
*Try to make your guides as detailed as possible
*Use Pictures, Pictures are good if the guide is hard to explain
*Edit your guide if others have questions.
*Using youtube videos are a great way to make your guide less complex
*Use a Q & A in your guide
*post pointless guides(how to poop)
*making a thread to request a guide request a guide
*post illeagal guides(how to get cocaine
*post guides that offend people(ex:make blacks hate obama)
*post a list of things(List of jokes, web domains, etc.)
*advertise to sell a guide!
*Put something on there that shows con-man acts (like jonathon's ref vid hack)
*Put guides that are small(250< characters
*use interwebz speak(lol,atm)

Here is my example of a guide with the above rules enforced
How to Shave Properly

Now all men hate the way they get skin irritation and all the redness, so in this guide I will show you how to properly shave. The key to shaving is wetshaving. Not many people do it, but it gives you that baby smooth skin every time. There are 5 basic steps to shaving:
1. Clean and heat your skin
2 The Preshave
3.The actual shave
4. Cool down your skin
5. moisturize

Step 1: Clean & heat your skin[img=]
Wash your face thoroughly with warm water before shaving. This will prevent infections in case of nicks. You may want to exfoliate using a rough exfoliating cream. This will better prepare your skin and beard for shaving. Soak a facecloth in warm water, and hold it to your beard for 30 seconds. This will help soften and loosen the hair and skin.

Step 2: The Preshave[img=]
Use Preshave oil (special oil bought at Wal-mart) and apply it to your face. This should make the hairs on your face stand up, making it easier to shave.

Step 3: Shaving[img=]
Release a ball of shaving cream onto your palm, and apply it evenly over your beard and neck in upward circular motions, making sure to uniformly cover all sections that you wish to shave uniformly. Make sure to use an unused or relatively new razor for the closest and least painful shave. For the top section of your beard, shave from the top of the beard to the edge of your jaw-line in long, even strokes. To shave under your chin and your neck, shave from the bottom of your neck upwards (with the grain) to prevent razor burn and ingrown hairs. You may wish to pull your skin taut with your free hand for a closer shave, but that's up to you. To shave your upper lip, stretch it over your front teeth to tighten the skin, and shave downwards.
Rinse your razor after each stroke to keep it from becoming clogged up with hair.

Step 4: Cool down your skin[img=]
Wash off excess shaving cream with warm water, and look for sections of beard you may have missed. Wet your razor to shave these remaining sections. Be sure to use a witch hazel based aftershave.

Step 5: Moisturize[img=]
Use a good moisturizer to soften and clean your skin. A lot of guys skip this part. Now your finished!

Here is the video for those who need visual guidance.

There is no Q & A for this guide.
