Video error on youtube...

I downloaded windows movie maker and for some reason when I upload my videos to youtube I get an error - invalid file format...anyone got any solutions / tips?

ok, so you use windows movie maker.
First you press file, then click save movie file.
then you may upload it

mybe you should reinstall WMM to fix the problem BTW i thought WMM was already installed on PC's right out of the box :confused: then again i don't know that much about computers :banana

I had your same problem. Do u have 2.6? On 2.6 you go on the finish movie tab on the left and save to your computer. Good Luck:thumbs

ok to do this go to publish movie and if you see go to more selections and then video for broadband and upload that.it should work that's how mines work please tell me if it works.

ummm.....to get mine to work, i saved it as a movie file (ctrl-p) and then i clicked "the web" icon, chose my connection speed and then uploaded it onto youtube. and mine works so yea. hope this helps

If you svaed it to your Movie Maker 2.6, that is why it won't work.

You must go to "Finish Movie" and save it. Then, when you are browsing to upload it, click the .wmv file.

If you do not even have 2.6, get it. lol

Thanks everyone, I saved the movie to my file adn it has now been successfully uploaded and works!
