I think Rewards1 should add a 5% bonus for 2nd level referrals.

Basically you refer John. He makes one point so you get .2 points from him (but we should be able to have this ability). Then John refers Roger and makes a point also. So you get .05 from him. May not seem like alot but after awhile they'll help. Because here is how the site, you refer a person (like how you learned about it), they do some offers (like you did), they stop receiving credit (like you), and then they rely on referrals (like you would). So the process gets repeated multiple times and the 2nd level referrals would help

Agreed. I think this was suggested at one point too.

It would be hard to get to do now because we have already referred so many people who have referred more people, it would be hard to determine how much to give us, and if they didn't give us it people would complain, it may just be too hard to do now

Offers would have a lower payout. This idea has been shot down already.

I agree. This is a good idea, its just that rewards1 is still fairly young compared to the other sites that have been out for longer. Those sites have made killings, so they can afford the extra 5%. I would love to see if my refs were better at referring than me though :p

It not so much that it is hard to do, as I'm sure they could easily do it during a cloudy afternoon. The referral bonus already cuts into their profit. I imagine we get maybe close to 50% of what the offer gets them (maybe less?) and they keep the rest as a profit towards them. People referred here get lose another 20% so that's 70% us 30% them. They have to make some money...
