Interesting for the most part. Microsoft was lackluster in terms of them just throwing kinect out like it is their most important thing, and not innovating much.

Sony was by far the most interesting software wise. The interconnectivity between PSvita and PS3 is ridiculous. Their game lineup is second to none for exclusive franchises, and that PSvita itself is sporting some pretty hefty features, like full HD PS3 like graphics.

Nintendo was pretty unique as they usually are, but I agree on some points that this new Wii U might bomb if they don't follow through on their word with the full range 480-1080p (hopefully a majority 1080p) quality. No new handhelds which they should do with the 4 current DS iterations on the market right now and their latest one bombing in sales.

Most 3rd party stuff is looking to be pretty amazing, like Never Dead. Who doesn't want to rip their head off and roll it around?

No Pikmin 3 this time, most likely it'll come out during Wii 2's lifetime.

I'm gonna get called a Microsoft fan boy but whatever.. For the record, I love all 3 companies, but I'm sick of all the MS hating so here goes.

WTF did you expect Microsoft to do? Just ignore the fact that thousands of people bought Kinect and there are about 10 games out for it? They HAD to have a big focus on Kinect because that's a huge selling point for them. They're now able to target the hardcore crowd and the casual crowd (something "innovative" Nintendo wasn't able to do with the Wii.) And plus.. ARE YOU AWARE OF THE HALO NEWS!?!? Seriously, Microsoft offered the biggest "surprise" out of all 3 companies. We knew about the NGP/Vita, we knew about Project Cafe/Wii U and it's 6-inch touch screen. We had rumors about a Halo CE remake. Rumors. We had NOTHING on the fact that there is going to be a whole new Halo trilogy. And you call Microsoft lackluster why?

Seems almost like you didn't know much about what was going on with MS so you just decided to diss them. If you actually watched the conferences, all 3 companies had FANTASTIC runs this year. Each of them did everything they needed to and set themselves up for some great business. Not a single one of their performance can be considered bad, so why start up the console wars?

Why is there a 2nd Final Fantasy 13?
And why does the hitman game has such good graphics?

There was a lot I left out cause I just didn't think of it and didn't feel like making the post more long winded than it already was (Twisted Metal x1000).

Anyways, Yeah Halo is good and all, and I will def play it with my friend or cousin if they pick it up. Though it is getting old.

Aside from Halo, Gears 3, and MW3, as well as Kinect there isn't much done to improve or innovate on Microsoft's part.

I"m not trashing Microsoft like a Fanboy, I'm trying to get the point that Microsoft has done less in innovation than Sony and Nintendo are trying to do.

Max, the 3DS is not an iteration, its an entirely new console. With OOT3D nintendo saw a hefty spike in 3DS sales too. Software sells hardware, like pokemon sold Game Boys, and Super Mario was the shiz at the 3DS showfloor. Shuggly fuggs up.

Wii-U is already overhyped lol. The controller pretty pointless and they never "officially" showed the console during E3 but yet all these games are coming out for it. I doubt it'll be released this year and by the time it does MS and Sony are probably starting to work on their next one.

Also I loved how during their conference they were all "We want to appeal to more gamers" and then show more mario, zelda, ect. Its easy to predict what will happen when Nintendo goes on stage since all they do is remake the same games.

tl;dr Halo is getting boring, putting out too many sequels

I'm gonna play Call of Duty, even though it has more sequels than Halo. I could never get bored of fantasy violence!

Is E3 still on going on ?

No it was a 3 day event. First two had the main conferences and the third day was mainly a day to go visit the booths you hadn't already.

The PSvita looks awesome. Full HD PS3 like graphics on a handheld? Yes, please :) I like Sony and Microsoft. I have a PS1, PS2, PSP, and Xbox 360 and like them all. I dislike Nintendo. My DS flashcart that I used solely for homebrew developing is no longer functional because of the freaking DSi firmware 1.4.1U update >:( All of their systems are junk anyway. I was hoping with the 3DS that they would at least put a decent touch screen on it. But, no, it's still just a junky, single touch pressure sensative screen.

´wii u is pretty ugly

I have to say I agree. the handheld is ugly and bulky, but goddamn PSvita in nintendo form? Yes plz.

All nintendo needs to do to completely hook me into buying Wii U is guarantee full 1080p for their games, as well as upscaling Wii games, and make sure it ISN't going to get hacked as easily as the Wii was/is.

Being able to use all current Wii control schemes is a complete plus and I can only hope third parties make non-instant bargain bin games.

I agree that the Wii U is ugly. I also don't like the controller. It's huge. That's bad.

Nintendo needs to quit making people look like tards playing some games like those exercising ones and I hope they come out with a wide variety of colors like they did with the N64.

I think that if the console itself is ugly, thats a huge drawback. That controller may affect gameplay and a lot of other stuff. Batteries? *****a please..

What I look for in games: Decent graphics and good gameplay. It has to be really unique and fresh to make me play a repetitive game to the end. Let's take the example of Crazy Taxi, a really popular arcade game. IT'S AN ARCADE GAME so all you can do is up your score. Why did people play so much? because it was fun and so much could happen. There's something lacking in nowadays gaming. Perhaps game makers overworry about the graphic quality since now it's overhyped. But it just saddens me how they can't come up with some cool concepts anymore or if they actually do, they screw it up *cough* brink * cough*

Well D3, you have to look at it from the perspective that cinematic experiences in video games are taking over. games like Uncharted, where it is a movie you mostly control, are what they are trying for more with big title releases.

There isn't much left for fresh concepts, cause most everything has been done. If anything, the most original title that will be releasing is Twisted Metal. They actually did some stuff that is far from your typical car battle game (which I don't see many titles out for anyways.) It is also a very dark, twisted world which leaves a lot for originality in characters, cars, and maps.

i think that is limited. I mean, yeah it can't be too far fetched, but it can't be the same thing over and over again either. when I used to play games on dreamcast, playstation etc, there were games with totally dark, abstract concepts. Nowadays you just don't see much of it. Oh we made playstation move, quick think of some game that we can use it: sports, swords, guns. How creative... Just because its a cinematic or whatever doesn't mean it can't have new ****. What happened to beautiful Katamari and all other games? I guess that now they are on the iphone and such, dirty homebrews that took over classics.

glorious katamari. All I can say is the kinds of games you want are diamonds in the rough.
