I'm probably going to get my throat slit for saying this but, ah well...

I HATE JOURNEY! Here be why-

Alright we've all heard "Don't Stop Believing" a billion times. What a f*cking amazing song. Now the next time you listen to it actually pay attention to the lyrics. *whiny voice* "Streetlight.... People". WTF are streetlight people? Now putting the complete retarded words aside, let's move on to something else.. the song is completely ruined. First off, people need to STOP trying to sing DSB. Now, whenever I f*cking hear that song I just hear some annoying person trying to sing along with the song. Or worse, I'll hear some immature f*g going "Just an asian boy, born and raised in Tokyo" or some other gay mockery of the song that is supposed to be funny. In addition to all of this, does anyone remember that fact that one a few occasions when they were "in their prime" they were actually booed off the stage? So now I ask a question for all you Journey fans-

WTF IS SO GREAT ABOUT JOURNEY!?!?

And if your wondering why I'm suddenly making this thread its 'cause I heard a Journey song today and wanted to throw the radio out the window.

Lighten up? It's a feel good song.

Yes, any song that is overplayed will become annoying to you for a period of time. Just ignore it?

Personally I think it's a great song, if you don't like it just ignore it. It's a classic, and is perfect karoake song, which is why a lot enjoy singing a long to it.

As for the booed off stage, I don't know much about that, but I do know a lot of bands are booed off the stage in their prime, doesn't say much about the band to me, just the fans.

That's just me though, I grew up on Classic Rock and I really enjoy Power Ballads. I'm not a huge Journey fan or anything, I just like a few of their songs and listen to them on occasion, and admit I like to sing a long to that song if I hear it.

Biggest problem with it. It's too much of a karaoke song that even people that can't sing for $hit sing it.

Your telling me a song has never been ruined for you just 'cause someone who couldn't sing sung it?

No, that has never ruined a song for me. Why should I let it? If they can't sing, I won't listen to them, I'll just ignore them, tune them out.

I just don't understand how some average joe singing a song has any effect on the actual song performed by the actual band. I get what you're trying to say though, you're sick of it being overplayed and everyone "thinking" they can sing it too.

But to me, it just looks like "I hate Journey, because they're successful and have made lasting and impactful songs".

I hope you also realize that I'm just typing for the sake of typing.

It's only started to suck balls, since that terrible programme "Glee" came on.
And the lyrics don't have to make sense, it's an original song, so it's their work.

What about "Take On Me - a-ha"?

Great song, you just need to lighten up dude.

Yeah dude, it's on one of the episodes. All the dicks at school have the 'Glee' version on their phones.
