So I randomly stumbled upon this. Spider-man 4 was canceled yesterday. Sam Raimi felt like he couldn't make the 2011 release and keep creative with it so he dropped out. Instead of replacing him, Sony decided that they rather reboot the series based on a script by James Vanderbilt (The Rundown, Zodiac, X-Men Origins: Wolverine). That means Tobey and the rest of the cast are out. They plan on taking Spidey back to high school. Totally lame if you ask me. Spider-man reboot is expecting a 2012 release, let's hope they get a great cast and don't **** it up.
On the plus side, Thor's release date has now moved up from May 20th, 2011 to May 5th, 2011 (Spider-man 4's release date) and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is set to be released on May 20th, 2011.
What do you think about this?
