This a thread for all the epic, recent films, but not the really popular ones (dark knight, slumdog millionaire, etc.)

2 really good films ;

Never back down - it's about fighting and UFC.
Hot rod - by the lonely island gang, incredibly funny.

I always liked the first Pirates of The Caribean, and Van Helsing was my favorite.

I don't think you should be calling this as the title says, more like favourite movies, because I wouldn't consider any of these films "great", at least so far.

Oh shat, no joke, that's the best movie ever. Was telling snake about it earlier this week. I wished I knew how to box like that after watching it though...

Yeah, but Black Hawk Down is based on a true story, which is what makes it that much more amazing. I bought Tears of the Sun but I was honestly let down, I was expecting more, for me, I couldn't find anything special in it. Don't get me wrong I like Bruce Willis, but I bought the movie, watched it, and can barely remember it, and I think I was a little bored watching it too. So I may have to watch it again to form a better opinion, but I also think the first Behind Enemy Lines (also based on a true story), was pretty amazing too.

I haven't seen the entire black hawk down. I know it starts out with the helicopter...heard it was a great movie. Never watched it.
