I have a PSP 3000, verison 5.03 firmware (accroding to PSP hacks forums, I can't update the firmware..).
and 5.03 is a custom firmware.
so Today, my PSP ran outta battery, so the thing shut down. after I charged it. I restarted the PSP, when I tried to play a game, I found no games in the "memory stick" section. but when I connect the PSP to my computer, all the games are still in the ISO folder, I did some searching, some said I needed to remake the "game" folder in "psp", so I did, nothing happens, then I find out I have to make a text file, wth is the name of the text file supposed to be?
what am I supposed to do?

same thing happened to a friend.
most likely because youre mem stick is bootlegged.

here's what you do:
1) connect your psp to your pc and open the mem stick file.

2) now on your pc desktop, make a new folder called ISO

3) now back on your psp, open the iso file. highlight all your games, and then right click on your mouse and click on cut.

4) paste all the games inside the iso folder thats on your desktop.
5) cut the iso folder from your desktop and paste it in the root of your mem stick. it'll ask you if you wanna replace the current folder. do replace it.

when its done, disconnect your psp, and the games should be there!

they worked fine before. until the battery ran out and caused a complete shut down. and it's just 5.03.
and 182, I have tried that method, still got nothing :(

I think a disc needs to be in the disk slot, even if it's not the game you're playing.

damn, I don't even have a disk =o

That could be it, but don't count on my info, I don't even have a PSP anymore, and when I did, it was only firmware 3.10 or something.

ok. I'll help.

1. Go into the ISO folder on the computer on your PSP.
2. Take out all the games and put it in a folder on your desktop.
3. Go on your PSP, and go to settings, system settings, and Format Memory stick
4. This will delete EVERYTHING that's on the PSP. So, if you have music, pictures, etc. back those up too.
5. Power off your PSP all the way.
6. Power on.
7. Go to USB mode, and put everything back on.

Hope I helped! :) If it didn't, just re-download on my site. :)
