I'm having trouble getting Brawl to load and it will NOT load period. I've tried cleaning the disc but no luck. I tried making the system go flat on the floor without the stand (that usually works) but still nothing. I don't feel like taking it to Nintendo for repairs and waiting who knows how long. Should I try internal cleaning of the system myself, of course that involves opening it and bombing my warrenty. So what do you suggest I do?

If I get it to load, I'll vs you guys like old times.

Someone on here (forgot the name) can tell you how to fix your wii up. Like how to take out the cd drive and clean it.

ok, here is what you need:

A random CD you don't use (Do not use wii games!)
Tape
a cleaning cloth

and here is what you do:

Cut the cloth into a rectangle that should be around 0.75" x 1.25" (if it's hard to do it like that, just cut it 1" x 2".

the cloth should now be a small rectangle.

then just fold the cloth into a little square, and place it in the middle section of any part of the CD.
tape the borders of the cloth.

the disc should now look like this:

REMEMBER it'sVERY important that the cloth is taped in the middle of the CD, between the little circle, and the border! or else it will not work.

ok, now lay the disc on a flat surface, cloth facing up.
the cloth must stick out a little, i'd say 2MM or so.
like this:

Now, wet the cloth, but just a tiny little bit, and insert it on the wii.

click on the Disc channel. When it says the wii cannot read the disc, eject it, and the disc should look like this:
http://www.majhost.com/gallery/juan146/wiilens/w3.jpg

Now, if it looks like that, try smash bros, it should work!

Remember to get the cloth distance on the disc right!

Thanks a lot! If this method works, I'll plus rep you and add you as a friend. How thin should the cloth be and should the cloth cover the entire disk?

I'll kick your ass in Brawl if this works. I want to beat Melee first.

real thin is fine, since it's gonna be folded.

and no, just that little section.
make sure o get it right in the middle of the borders and the little hole for your finger, like in that pic.

Something isn't right. I tried this method but it will not work. Its most likely the cd since I sort of blew its fuse. I'll get a new one tomorrow and I'll post back in the other thread. $50/$2100 bucks ain't much. < out of
