systme restore should fix that, or try booting it in safe mode

go into BIOS, bam done.

oops, forgot to add, use it to check PC health, then go into DOS and reformat.
I usually save reformatting as a last resort, and I don't think I've ever had to do one.

This is way before that, BIOS is the first thing your computer does/loads.

I'm not sure if it will work, but I'd suggest trying it as a last resort, cause reformatting is never fun, but like just keep hitting f8 when your computer first starts up and you should be able to enter BIOS or choose to enter DOS prompt, I'd see if your friends or family would let you borrow an XP disc first though.

Do I need to know more coding in order to reformat? Because I don't know any.

nope, all the commands are really simple. If you're unsure, just search up basic DOS commands on google, and print off a page so you have them with you. DOS is old school, it's like your computer functioning in basic format without a graphic user interface (like windows).

I just dislike reformatting, because you lose everything (well not technically because anything on your computer is never really deleted, but it's very hard to get back). Once in DOS, there's a couple easy commands you could use, I'd just try "format c: /s", you can also type "help" to get more commands, but you shouldn't need them.

you dont even have a window's cd. formatting the hd means you'll have a unusable computer overall =/

it should already pop up if your computer dies and you try to restart it

before starting windows, it'll ask if you want to start windows normally, in safemode, in safemode with networking etc. and there should be an option called last known good configuration

if that doesnt show up then you might need to go into dos mode (safe mode command prompt) and run the file itself....

type in: %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

i guess your previously workign settings are still bad

wait for the disc then ;P
or try to find your own. did you buy your pc straight up from a vendor? they might have a restore setting of their own.
