Well it's quite easy and simple. For recording from your desktop all you have to do is download hypercam 2 from http://download.com/ and you install it. Then click the camera icon to run it.
Now for recording from your game you need fraps. Go to http://fraps.com/ and download the latest version. Now install it and there you go!
