Aesop Rock, Nine Inch Nails, Tech N9ne, The Hives, Slipknot, Insane Clown Posse, Atmosphere, Living Legends, Mindless Self Indulgence, Disturbed, and a lot more...

But if i had to pick one... It would be a real close game between Aesop Rock and Nine Inch Nails... But Aesop Rock wins....

Wrong, sir. Last I checked a little band named IRON MAIDEN still exists.

And as for their songs? All of them. They're the pinnacle of heavy metal music.

They've been releasing albums pretty regularly as far as bands go. Every 2-3 years since 1980. Course they're 20 years old, but they're still producing awesome music. (Last album was in 2006, btw)

I like SO many bands (I try to keep a full list, and mine is over 200 bands at the moment)... but some of my favorites are The Mars Volta (absolute best), Kyuss, Queens Of the Stone Age, killwhitneydead., Red Hot Chili Peppers Nirvana... man screw it I might put up the fill list later but those are some bands I dig.

that deosnt offend me at all, chaos punk is DEFINATEY not for everybody, but im mostly into hardcore, oldskool and chaos punk. most of these new bands (like good charlote) are posers who need to be excuted by having there testicals linked to a car battery drenched in gasoline, cuz the're killing the punk scene.

Well TBH im a strange kinda guy when it comes to music...you see I like Metal, Rap, Techno, Dance :|
I currently listen to;

For metal: As I Lay Dying (Freaking Awesome) + A bit of DragonForce, Dethklok
For Rap: A bit of Lil Wayne :P This is the Carter lol
For Techno: Daft Punk Rule..!!!
And For Dance...well anythin really...not that bothered about dance but...

Other bands I Like:
Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rammstein (Oh Yeh!), Linkin Park, Four Year Strong, Kanye West, Killswitch Engage, Taking Back Sunday...wow there are so many ill leave it there :)

I'm pretty random when it comes to music. My collection ranges from stuff like Megadeth to Jamie Cullum. Lately, I've been listening to a lot of A Wilhelm Scream, At The Drive-In, John Legend, Fall Out Boy, Abingdon Boys School, Disco Ensemble, Death From Above 1985, Cursive, The Faint, and Dethklok.

Thrice is probably my favorite band by far though.

Coldplay's first US album was brilliant (save for Yellow, that song was terrible). Some singles of their second one were great too.

But, if you're an annoying middle school kid who only listens to thrash and doesn't care about lyrics, then yeah, I can see how people would think Coldplay sucks.

Hey, whoah man... I'm a junior so I think that puts me in the upper age echelon here, first off. And second off I didn't mean to insult your tastes, it's just I don't really like Coldplay, I know I totally came off as a douche there but yeah I didn't mean to be. And last, I really like metal but it's not my favorite genre, I have a little more taste than that. Bands like Cold War Kids, The Sound Of Animals Fighting, Minus The Bear, and Circa Survive are amazing and they're nothing like mindlessly brutal metal songs with drab lyrics.

Now before all the metal elitists come to bite me in the ass, there's rarely a time where I don't feel like busting out some truly hardcore metal.

It's important to note that Nu is greek for "not", so don't interpret it to be "new metal", it's actually "not metal". If you ask me, all of the subgenres metal creates is just a big pain in the ass.

i always just try to stay clear of the whole "sub" genre thing. Metal is Metal. Hip-Hop is Hip-Hop. Punk is Punk. Pop is Pop. Rock is Rock. Its the bands that make the genres a little different.
