Actually, the Pythagorean Theorem is, "The sum of the squares of the legs, is equal to the square of the hypotenuse."
So, yes, "C" is the hypotenuse.

I can't think right now, and don't want to think.

But I'll give you thid.

a^2+b^2=c^2

#+#=c^2

#=c^2

Square root of the #?????????????????????

Substitute in.

50^2+5^2=c^2

Solve.

2500+25=c^2

2525=c^2

The Square root of 2525=c

50.2493781=c

50^2 * 5^2 = answer^2 so get the sqrt of the answer. I'll do it 250*25=6250 sqrt of that is 79.0569415042 I may have done it wrong though. What I thought you guys were saying it was multiplying

Solve.

2500+25=c^2

2525=c^2

The Square root of 2525=c

a=50
b=5
c=x

50^2 + 5^2 = X^2
2500 + 25 = x^2
2525 = x^2
Square both sides, Solve/simplify
