View Full Version : Okay, now this is just puzzling...

I've already explained about my issue with not earning points/getting credited for the offers I've completed.

I clear cookies regularly and still... nothing.

Then I explained how my Security has this setting on:
MEDIUM - Blocks tracking site cookies; Allows cookies from personalized sites.

I want to change the setting to see if it will make a difference (it should) but I can't because Parental Controls have restricted access to it. I need to try again later today to see if I can get in since there are a couple issues I need to fix with my Security anyhow.

Anyway, getting back to the "issue" here, I've still been trying to re-do offers to see if anything would show up (why not?) but no, nothing so far.

I was looking over at ********** (I find this site to be a LOT better) and they have a similar CDN offer that they have here (for some reason, Rewards1 offers more points but that's not a bad thing since it's not much to begin with XD). I just did the offer over on ********** and within 2 minutes, I got credited for it!!

You could, then, understand my confusion because it's not like I changed the settings to allow ********** or something. Cookie settings are like this for BOTH PR and R1:

Cookie Control:
Session - Allowed
Persistent - Allowed
3rd Party - Disallowed

I imagine that the disallowing of 3rd Party cookies ALSO contributes to the fact that I'm not getting credited in additon to the Master setting I mentioned earlier.

But now I'm completely puzzled.... Why did I get credit over on ********** when I did the same offer before and I didn't get credit for it (no settings have been changed at all)?

I re-did the offer in question a while ago, just for the sake of argument, and still nothing....

I know that some people may think of me as a ... well.. not in a positive light (namely, DarkRider) but I'm just asking a question, posing it to you, the community as to what the problem could be...?

Read the entire post carefully and let me know if you can come up with a valid, non-objective/non-critical answer to this problem OTHER THAN "you need the change your settings" (since, first, I realize that that could be the problem but why is ********** alright for giving me points; second, I can't change the settings anyhow).

Thanks in advance for your assistance. Please bear with me as I try to correct this issue.

Not that this helps your current situation but some advice none the less. If you don't live in the states, don't bother with doing surveys, make your points via referrals. As bad as you think the UK have it, Australia have it worse, I did all the surveys available and got 2.6 points for them.

Read around the forum on the referral advice and get on it.

Referrals are had to achieve for me.
I've done like 4 things:

Inserted sig banners on 3 forums
Inserted sig links
Made two threads on 2 different forums
Made a video, uploaded to Google Video

I don't know what else to do. :(
And yeah, I still have none.

As said above, if your a mod or a admin on any popular forums then your ref rate will jump fast. Theres no point putting it in your sig / advertising in posts if your a relatively new member with less that 500 or so posts and no one will believe you and think your just trying to 'scam' them.

Good point.

I have over 1000 posts on one community in particular and I'm a well-known member of the community. They might believe me there, so I made a thread there. Maybe add it to my sig?
