Ok so I've seen some people asking how to make a youtube video. Well I'm going to tell you how to make a basic video in WMM.
Ok first you need a good screen recorder. I suggest getting hypercam 2. It's free and easy to use.
This is just a basic screen recorder.

This one is for editing videos you recorded.
After that you need to record your video. Use the hotkeys like F2 to record and stuff. Make sure to choose where you want your video recorded to be saved. Just go through and change the settings the way you want to.
After that open up windows movie maker. Find the video you recorded and click and drag the video file onto the storyboard(the top part) Then drag the video from the storyboard to the timeline(the bottom part)
Now lets say you want to put audio in the video. Find an audio file on your computer(I don't think you can use files on itunes) and put it on your storyboard again. Now put drag it over to the timeline from the storyboard. You can choose when you want it to end and when you want it to start by clicking the edges and dragging them.
After that go to the thing on the left that says number 3 finish movie. Click the arrow so you can see the list and go to save to my computer. Then just wait for it to be done.

If you want to edit a trailer then first you need to find a trailer and download it.
After you have your trailer take the video file saved on your computer and drag it to the storyboard and then drag the video to the timeline. Then after that you probably want to put some text over your video. Well go to tools>titles and credits then put add title on the selected clip.(make sure you have selected the area in the timeline for where you want to put the text. type the text and go to change title animation. Choose an animation. Then go to change title text font and color. Choose the font and color(most trailers are best with white but some aren't)
Then hit done add title to the movie. Now go to the timeline and it should show a place for your text. Move it to the place you want and then take the ends and you can choose how long you want the text to last. You probably don't need to put any audio in a trailer video so just save your project by going to the left and clicking the arrow next to number 3. Then choose save to computer and choose a location.
That's it.
Some things you should know about WMM and Hypercam
They're basic recording and editing software. They don't have all kinds of cool features. They don't have zoom features. You can use some zoom tools that you can download.
If you want to edit zoom features I suggest downloading
camtasia studio 5 or sony vegas 8 pro.(Sony vegas 8 is hard to use and for experienced users but you can make really cool vids)
Camtasia studio 5 is easy to use and has zoom and pan features that are very useful.
If you need info on how to use camtasia studio 5 PM me or for Vegas 8.
Note I'm not that great with Vegas 8 because I didn't really explore how to use it.
