Well, I have the shuffle and I think its pretty convenient. Its small and it can be clipped anywhere. Easy access!

I'd definately go nano.

If you really want an Ipod now you could go with the shuffle but id rather take the nano. How long did it take you anyways? If it took a long time to get the points for your shuffle then you might just want to get a shuffle because it could take a long time to get enough for a nano.

i think i might go for the shuffle because im getting it for my sister and she likes to listen to music out side and stuff

Being an owner of both ipods, i would prefer the nano. Shuffles are small and convenient but, theres no screen. With no screen, that means you dont know what song your listening to, no playlist, no videos, no notes, no pictures. The list goes on. I currently have the video ipod because i could fill the nano in a day, and being able to download games and podcasts from itunes is awesome. Another thing is that my friend forgot his shuffle in the washer and its dead. Small things have a disadvantage too.

If you are getting a shuffle anyways and want to know what color, ask what her favorite color is. Just whatever you do, dont get green. Its a darkish shade and looks ugly to me.

Well you're going to need to download itunes no matter what to get songs onto an ipod.
